I have been practising as an Acupuncturist since 1985 and am a member of the group of mainly Acupuncturists who set up the New Cross Natural Therapy Centre at that time. I am also a Director of the Centre. My Acupuncture practice is an integration of Five Element Acupuncture and Acupuncture practised according to the Eight Principles of treatment within Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). I also pay attention in my practice to nutrition and exercise as other factors important to a person's ability to enhance and maintain their health. I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council.
I also practise Craniosacral Therapy, which is a gentle hands on form of treatment to encourage the therapeutic flow of the Cerebro spinal Fluid (CSF) and other vital energy circulations within a person.
I am at the moment particularly interested in exploring working more with the energy field, the subtle energy core and their expression in the physical health of the body. This means working with energy practices like yoga, tai chi and chi gung that unite movement and breathing which I would also like to be able to include complementary to my practice as a further means to generate wellbeing.
Special areas of interest include working with women at various stages of pregnancy and attending labour itself and increasingly working with energy work with regard to spinal related difficulties. I also incorporate the use of nutritional supplements and low potency homoeopathic preparations though I refer to the relevant therapists where higher or specific prescribing is required. My practices are currently based in SE London and in S Wales.
