I entered the Therapy Profession quite late in life having spent most of my career, working in Theatre and TV. as an Actress, Stage Manager and Lecturer but in the year 2000 I had an accident and broke my knee. After that I walked with the aid of a stick and needed to use a lift to access stairs. The only help Doctors gave me was to prescribe anti-inflammatory tablets that began to damage my stomach.
So I went elsewhere in search of help. My journey took me to a Healing Arts Fair, a very new venture for me as I had always been sceptical of anything 'Alternative' and thought 'Energy' a figment of overactive imaginations.
On entering the room in which several Psychics had been working that weekend, I experienced Energy (Life Force-Ki or Chi as it is known) in a Life Changing way. It filled me until I thought I was going to float up to the ceiling and explode. So I sat down to try to ground myself and at that point the top of my head seemed to open up and a bolt of light shot down through my body. Laughing, giggling and crying and went on into the main room of the venue and found a Reiki Practitioner offering a 15 minute taster session.
She began to work on my Chakras and when she reached my Heart I felt it open to embrace the whole of the world and I was overwhelmed with the feeling of Unconditional Universal Love.
After that I found I could channel Energy through my hands and became aware of the movement of Ki through my own body. So I trained to become a REIKI MASTER AND TEACHER.
REIKI has helped me to slow down the deterioration of my joints and muscles and manage my pain without the use of medication.
I am grateful to say I have also been able to help many others on their own healing journeys.
THE RECONNECTION.
In 2006 I received three sessions of this new Energy Healing system that has become hugely successful in the USA. As a result the level of vibration of the energy I was able to channel dramatically increased and with it the level of my own healing. I now no longer need a stick to walk and nor do I need to use stair lifts. In 2007 I qualified as a RECONNECTIVE HEALING PRACTITIONER.

Since 2009 I have been working with the Tendai Buddhist/Shinto/Esoteric Mikkyo Monk- IKKO DAI AJARI, based in Kyoto, Japan who has become well known worldwide for his powerful Karmic Energy Clearing Fire Ceremonies.
REIKI TREATMENTS. (with Pauline Menear)
Reiki is Holistic, it works with the whole being - balancing and clearing on all levels -physical, mental, emotional and spiritual - to promote wellbeing and harmony.
It is a unique system of energy healing that is practiced by transmitting a spiritually guided 'life force' through the hands. Sometimes the practitioner's hands may touch lightly but usually the hands will be held several inches from the body.
REI = universal consciousness- spirit or hidden source.
KI = life energy or Life force.
Modern science describes KI as a living electromagnet energy that is absorbed, stored and distributed by living cells. Most eastern healing practices are based on an awareness of KI and the necessity for it to flow through the body in a free and balanced way to maintain good health.
The Chinese call it 'CHI'- The Indians -'PRANA' and the Sufis - 'BARAKA'.
This powerful, yet gentle way of healing was developed in the early 20th century by a Japanese Buddhist lay monk, Mikao Usui. After his death it was taken to the USA and in the last 25 years it has spread to Europe and beyond
.Reiki is now recognized by the NHS as a relaxation treatment and there are now Reiki practitioners amongst the teams of Complementary Therapists employed in the Cancer Care Departments of some major hospitals.
Everyone experiences a Reiki treatment differently - here are some of the sensations that my clients and I have experienced:
Deep relaxation/falling asleep
Seeing bright coloured lights
Feeling warmth or heat
Feeling a cool breeze
Joy, laughter, tears
Static electricity
Involuntary body/limb movement
A white light moving through their body/limbs
Deep sense of peace and love
NB. All clients are encouraged to seek Medical help and diagnosis for physical or mental conditions. Reiki, Reconnective Healing and EMF Balancing, like all alternative therapies, are considered to be complementary to, rather than a replacement for Medical Advice.
