Homeopathy
What is Homeopathy?
Homeopathy is a complete form of medicine. It is a safe gentle form of treatment, as effective for babies, children and frail elderly as it is for hearty adults. Remedies are pleasant to take and are included in the consultation fee.
What conditions does it treat?
Homeopathy aims to remove the need for the body to produce symptoms rather than suppressing them as conventional medicine does. It is especially good for reducing the incidence and severity of long-term recurrent conditions such as hay fever, migraine, menstrual problems, catarrh, irritable bowel and post-viral exhaustion. It can be very helpful in states brought on by stress, such as sleeplessness, school phobia and exam nerves.
What does treatment entail?
The first interview lasts about an hour, during which the Homeopath takes a full history of your past health and conducts an in-depth exploration of your likes and dislikes, emotional and environmental stresses, and finds out what makes you tick. A remedy is then prescribed which carefully matches your symptoms and you are asked to keep a careful note of any changes that happen over the next few weeks before your next visit.
